if self assessment tax is paid say 10000 for f.y 2011-12,then when will this tax paid appear in form 26as?

It will appear in assessment year 2012-13. provided while payment selected the correct assessment year

If its paid for Financial Year 2011-12 you can find it in the 26AS of Assessment Year 2012-13.
