28 May 2011 Sir I want to apply for excise registration. I am engaged in assembling. I am confused about the tariff codes to be mentioned in online application. I know these are covered under chapter 72. But confused about sub codes. Please help me.
My purchase consists of: Ferrous & Non Ferrous Metals, M. S. Bar, Steel Forging, Engg. Goods, Bearings.

Assembled Product consists of: Roller, Pully, Roller Bearing, Bar Hinges (kabje)

Please tell codes of both purchased products as well as assembled products.
