06 August 2011 PVT LTD COMPANY APPLIED FOR TAN BUT IT DID NOT GET IT AND RECIEPT OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM IS ALSO MISPLACED.NOW THE DIRECTOR DO NOT KNOW WHETHER COMPANY HAS BEEN ALLOTED TAN OR NOT. IN MCA SITE ,WHILE SEARCHING TAN BY COMPANY NAME HE IS GETTING 2 TAN NUMBER IN NAME OF SAME COMPANY AND BOTH TAN NUMBER SOMETIMES SHOW ACTIVE STATUS AND SOMETIMES SHOW INACTIVE. PLZ SUGGEST WHAT TO DO. IS IT OK IF COMPANY AGAIN SUBMIT FORM FOR NEW TAN.
ALSO TELL ME HOW ONE COMPANY HAS 2 TAN NUMBER?????

06 August 2011 Company can have 2 TAN numbers. In nsdl webdsite check your TAN status based on the acknowledgement given at the time of application

07 August 2011 Only way if you applied online please check the NSDL helpdesk with the date of application and Company name, if you applied by NSDL center ask them the status with the date of application and company name
