Tally- Entering Closing Stock ?

02 May 2008 I am maintaining ACCOUNTS WITH INVENTORY.
Is it required to enter Closing Stock at the end of every Year in the STOCK LEDGER ? or does it do it automatically ?

02 May 2008 Tally will do it automatically if you enter every stock transaction in that but alternatively you can also transfer it by making JV.
I do not suggest you to do second thing, just leave it on tally, it will do this.
Confirm that there is "YES" in F11 > Integrate accounts with inventory.

05 May 2008 ur query on this link is " have just been handed accounts from previous accountant.Am seeing a big balance in BALANCE SHEET under Forex GAIN/LOSS...
Is there any method to delete that ?
I think its because the previous accountant didnt put a Currency Symbol when entering voucher of MULTI Currency....

I already asked to send the backup to me, I will clear the problem and send you back.
I can not suggest you the method, I will do, because that data may become unusable if you try to shortout the problem. Due to critical method, I suggest that send the datafile(Zipped) or backupfile, as you wish.
