OK BUT IF SIR I CHANGE PERIOD F.Y.14-15..AND I SUDDENLY REMERBERD THAT I FORGOT TO MAKE 1 ENTRY IN F.Y. 13-14.SO THEN I MAKE ENTRY IN THAT PERIOD SO THE BALANCES WILL AUTOMATICALY CHANGES FOR NEXT YEAR OR NOT OR WE HAS TO OVERWRITE THAT DATA
If you change the period to the new financial year (F.Y. 14-15) in Tally using **Alt+F2** and later remember you missed an entry in the previous financial year (F.Y. 13-14), you can still go back and enter that transaction in the old period.
**Hereโs what happens:**
* When you enter the missing transaction in the old financial year, **Tally will automatically update the balances** for all subsequent periods, including the new financial year. * You **do NOT need to overwrite or do anything special**; the ledger balances will reflect the change immediately once you save that old entry. * Just ensure your company data is backed up before making significant changes, just to be safe.
So, the balances in F.Y. 14-15 will **automatically reflect** the changes you make in the earlier year.
---
**Summary:**
* Use **Alt+F2** to switch financial years/periods. * Enter missing entries anytime by switching back to that period. * Balances will automatically update across periods. * No need to overwrite or manually adjust data.

If you want, I can guide you step-by-step on how to enter data for previous years or manage financial years in Tally. Just let me know!
