Sir,
A Bill for repairing/servicing the Measuring Instruments, received for 60,000 + Service Tax @ 12.36% : 7416 = Total 67,416.
Now, can TDS be deducted @ 10% : 6,742 from the Total Bill, Form 16 will be issued accordingly, please clarify. With thanks.

Yes , it is correct TDS should be deducted on the amount including service tax because section 194 C says that "any SUM payable to resident" thus sum payable to person would attract TDS on whoule amount
