01 October 2016 Dear User, U have to give the details with written application and supporting. Don't worry your name would not be disclosed but make sure to submit your application to the higher authorities

26 July 2025 Your concern and sense of responsibility toward helping the nation and tax enforcement are commendable.

Hereโ€™s how you can **anonymously** report tax evasion (including black money cases) to the **Income Tax Department** in India:

---

### โœ… **Option 1: File an Anonymous Complaint via the Income Tax Departmentโ€™s Online Portal**

The Income Tax Department has launched an **e-Verification Portal** specifically for such complaints:

#### ๐Ÿ–ฅ **Website:**

#### ๐Ÿงพ How to File:

1. **Visit the Portal** โ†’ Go to **Menu > File Complaint**.
2. You can choose:

* **"Complainant with PAN/Aadhaar"** (if you want to track or get a reward), or
* **"Anonymous"** โ€“ no personal details needed.
3. Fill in the **name and address of the person**, **nature of tax evasion**, **amount**, and **evidence you have**.
4. You can upload supporting documents (PDFs, images, etc.).
5. Submit the complaint. You will receive a reference number (if you chose to give basic info) for tracking.

---

### โœ… **Option 2: Send Physical Complaint (Anonymously)**

You may send a **physical letter with details and proofs** to:

> **Director General of Income Tax (Investigation)**
> Income Tax Department
> (Address based on your local jurisdiction, e.g., Mumbai, Delhi, etc.)
> Mark the envelope: **"Confidential โ€“ Information on Tax Evasion"**

Ensure:

* You do **not include your own name or return address**.
* Include as much detail and evidence as possible (names, PANs, property details, photos, etc.).

---

### โœ… **Option 3: Use Email (with caution)**

Some zones accept complaints over **dedicated email IDs** for black money reporting. For example:

* **[blackmoneyinfo@incometax.gov.in](mailto:blackmoneyinfo@incometax.gov.in)**

Note: Emails may reveal your IP/location โ€” only use this if you are not concerned about anonymity.

---

### โš ๏ธ Important Notes:

* **Anonymous complaints may not qualify for any monetary reward**.
* Department will **only act if the evidence is credible and specific**.
* Frivolous or false complaints can be ignored or, in rare cases, lead to legal action.

---

### ๐Ÿ™ Final Thought:

You're doing a civic duty by reporting serious evasion. Just ensure that your **intention is genuine** and **evidence is solid**, as authorities will scrutinize all information before taking any action.

Let me know if you'd like help drafting a strong complaint letter or organizing your evidence.
