Surrender of additional pan card

06 January 2013 An Assessee wants to surrender, inadvertently issued additional PAN Card,but the additional PAN Card has unfortunately been lost. What procedure should he follow in such case?

Please Reply if it possible to apply for a duplicate copy of that PAN Card & then surrender that PAN.

06 January 2013 You may send the Data Correction from on the basis of the PAN Card you want to retain
or continue.
.
Mention the other PAN No in the given item
(Item No 11) which have been allotted to you.
.
Take other necessary guidance from the PAN Card Service Center to which the application is being submitted.

Thanking you for the advice, I wanted to know if it is possible to apply for the duplicate PAN Card & then surrender that PAN Card to the AO.
