can u tell me where in the income tax act,
it is given that surcharge will be calculated while deducting tax on salary ?

12 January 2010 No for AY 2010-11 & FY 2009-10 Surcharge removed, no need to calculate

12 January 2010 No,Surcharge is not there for AY 2010-11, It is confirm

12 January 2010 No education cess or Surcharge is to be deducted except in the case of salary where Tax should be deducted after including the Education cess.Surcharge on individual and HUF assessee has already been abolished for full year fy 2009-10.
