My father had expired during the year 2010. Surviving family members are myself(only son of my father), my mother, my two sisters. My father has a plot of land. I have to get succession certificate to get the said land transferred from my late father's name. I want to know : Can I get the said land transferred directly in my name instead of my mother's name( if my mother has no objection whatsoever) ?

The proper way to resolve the issue
1. Get the legal heir cretificate. Normally you, your mother and sisters will be there as legal heirs.
2. Get patta in the joint names of all the four of you
3. Register a release deed in your favour from your mother and sisters.
You can not transfer the property in your name directly
