Sub contractors are service providers , so they have to pay the service tax.

There is no separate exemption for sub contractor in service tax

agree..service tax relates to service not cat. of sub contractor.....even tds rules are same for the contractor & subcontractor.

Hi,contractor/subcontractors can avail exemption of 1000K but pay service tax as seperate entity.
