Purpose of submitting stock statement to bank on monthly basis.

Bank normally gives cash credit/overdraft for working capital against hypothecation of stock in trade/debtors. Stock/inventory is subject to fluctuations hence bank wants to know what is the value of stock of the borrowing unit periodically say one month
