01 September 2008 Dear all,

We are in Manufacturing Business, one of our creditors is supplied goods in the year 2001-02 against form-C(Inter State Purchase) But we did'nt issued the C-form for that. Even they were forgot. But after years 02-03,03-04,04-05,05-06 and 06-07 year forms also issued. Now they are asking form-C for 2001-02. Ours Assessnent 05-06 is over

Can we issue form-C in this year or not!

Pls help

02 September 2008 The issue is quite complicated. It is also our responsibility to issue 'c' forms for all purchases made during the year before sales tax assessment.Instead of issuing 'c' form, you may send thier account copy in your books of accounts in the year 2001-02 by stating that the assessments were completed and not possible to issue 'c' form for old year.

18 September 2008 Is there any statutory bar in issung C form after completion of the assessment of purchaser?
