12 August 2025 Registrations Required for Tours & Travels Business under Proprietor Concern
GST Registration:
Mandatory if your annual turnover exceeds Rs. 20 lakh (Rs. 10 lakh for special category states).
Even if below threshold, GST registration is advisable as you deal with inter-state supplies and input credits.
Process: Apply online on GST Portal with your PAN, Aadhaar, and business address proof.
Shop & Establishment License:
Required as per local state laws for operating any commercial establishment.
Register with the local Municipal Corporation or Labour Department.
This license governs working hours, employee rights, etc.
PAN and TAN:
Proprietor uses personal PAN for business.
TAN needed if you deduct tax at source (TDS) on payments.
Udyam Registration (MSME):
Optional, but useful for claiming benefits under MSME schemes.
Free online registration based on Aadhaar and PAN.
Professional Tax Registration:
