03 March 2021 What to do now as the stamp paper date is after the date of Form 102 ?

25 July 2025 Got it! Here's how to handle your issues with **Form 102 (Articleship Deed) and stamp paper**:

---

### 1. No space on top of Form 102 printout for stamp paper image:

* The usual fix, as advised, is to **convert the PDF form to Word** (using free PDF-to-Word converters online).
* Then **edit the Word file** to leave enough blank space at the top of the first page so you can **paste or affix the stamp paper image** or details there.
* After editing, print the entire deed on the **actual stamp paper** (the physical one you buy), instead of just pasting an image of the stamp digitally. This is important for legal validity.

---

### 2. Stamp paper date is after the date of Form 102:

* **Ideally, the stamp paper date should be the same or earlier than the deed date** for the document to be valid.
* If the deed (Form 102) was executed on a date earlier than the stamp paper purchase date, this **creates a problem of backdating** which is not legally allowed.
* The safe solution is to:

* **Get fresh stamp paper dated on or before the deed date**, or
* **Prepare the deed again on or after the stamp paper date**, so the deed date matches the stamp paper date.
* Alternatively, some offices may accept a **declaration or affidavit** explaining the date difference, but this is risky and depends on the registrar’s acceptance.

---

**In short:**

* Print your deed on actual stamp paper with proper space for stamp.
* Match the deed date with the stamp paper date to avoid legal issues.

If you want, I can help you prepare the deed file with blank space or guide you on the format!
