Splitting of worksheet in Excel 2007

Please let me know the how to split the spreadsheet and how to remove the split in spreadsheet in EXCEL 2007.

Steps to be followed:
1. go to view menu
2. Select Split control from "Window Ribbon Button"
3. Excel 2007 will split the window into 4 parts
4. You can alter horizontal or vertical split bars
