08 November 2011 please tell me what is the speculation business ? is intra day trading in sale called as speculation business ? how it will be taxed if that is speculation business ?

09 November 2011 In accordance to Section 43(5) Speculation transactions means those transactions of purchase and sale in shares or in commodities which are periodically or ultimately settled without actual delivery of goods/shares.

Intra-Day Trading in SHARES is called speculative transaction and thereby these transaction constitute Speculation Business.

Rate of taxation is just like as applicable to the normal business. However, the main problem is in setting off of the losses of speculation business.
SP. Business Losses can be set off against Speculation income and can be c/fd upto only 4 years.
