08 December 2011 I am going to fill up my ST3 return and as i have paid the tax lately so, i have also deposited interest for Apr-June11 & Jul to Sep11 on half yearly basis. But in 4B column in the Source document no./period i am writting 4A(I)(d)(vii), but on validating the page it showing the error "Source document number is not in correct format for row : 1"

Pls. help me.

08 December 2011 For arrears, interest and penalty, the source document/period is as follows,- (a) in case these are paid suo- moto by the assessee, the period for which such amount is paid may be furnished (b) if paid consequent to a show cause notice (SCN) or order, the source document is relevant SCN No/Demand Notice No., Order In Original No. or Order in Appeal No or any other order , etc.,.

09 December 2011 I have deposited interest of Rs.1008/- for the period April to June 2011 & have posted it in column 4A(I)(d)(vii) column of ST3 return. So, what should i write in Source document no./period.

Pls. explain it.

from 01/04/2011 to 30/06/2011.

12 December 2011 writing the above format is showing the same error. Pls inform me what should be wrritten in full in the column "Source document No./period"

12 December 2011 Now fill BSRCODE,DATE & CHALLAN NO WITHOUT GAP. I think it will work.
