27 June 2017 Dear Experts, Our office is shifting within Bangalore. The lease date on the agreement is 25-7-2017 but operations at the new office will start somewhere between 10 to 15 Aug,2017 until then we would continue to operate at our old office. The Karnataka Shops and Establishment Act 1962 section 5 reads that "any change in the information contained in the registration certificate must be communicated to the inspector within 15 days from the date the change has taken place." Having said that my doubt is, when should we intimate them on the change of address? and what is the complete procedure to obtain the S&E certificate for our new office? and would be they be considering the lease date or the effective date of operations to count 15 days from the date the change has taken place? and whether we should apply for a new S&E certificate or amend the old one? Kindly help thanks in advance

27 June 2017 You can apply amend the RC by address change in online and upload rental agreement for new address and meet respect circle Inspector to get approval.

27 June 2017 15 days from the date you start operating from the new place. (The burden of proof that you have started your business/operations from the new place with effect from say 10/08/2017 is on your shoulder)
