28 April 2011 Suppose if a company is currently operating in its new name or new face value and i am holding shares with old name or old Face Value. I want to transfer the shares. Can i do that with the old name or old face value or will i have to first convert it to new share certificate as trading in the market and then transfer the shares.

03 May 2011 In the current scenario where the shares are traded in de-mat form, there is no need to do anything on the shareholders end. All the corporate actions like, change in name, merger, demerger, bonus, stock spilt, stock consolidation, etc are taken care by the Depository Participants. It automatically gets reflected in your demat account.
