Service tax returns are filed half yearly within 25 days from the end of the half year by all the assessees.

Even in the budget also ST-3 Return is required to be filed twice in a financial year – half yearly.
Return for half year ending 30th September and 31st March are required to be filed by 25th October and 25th April, respectively.

As per Budget it was required to filled quarterly and monthly s the case may be but the same has not been notified by the CBEC that from when this is going to be applicable . So, for the time being this is half yearly only and wait for the instruction from CBEC.
