23 September 2013 Dear Sir / madam,

with regards to service tax for the fy 2012-13 we have not received the service tax from the customer for the whole year

but it is told to us that we can pay service tax without interest as on today for fy 12-13

please clarify the same whether we can pay the service tax without interest.

24 September 2013 If you have not provided any taxable service then no need to pay service tax.

26 September 2013 If you have provided taxable service but not charged and collected service tax during F.Y. 2012-13, you can avail of VCES for the period upto 31.12.2012 and pay tax without interest and penalty. for subsequent period the tax shall be payable alongwith interest and return to be filed with penalty.
