Hi All,
I want to know the change in rate of service tax on works contract i.e.4.12% from the date? w.e.f.
And 2.06% upto what period?
urgent.

Compounded rate of service tax is not changed. It is 4.12% on the gross value of the contract.

2.06% upto 29.02.2008 and 4.12% from 01.03.2008.

At present service tax on WCT in compounding scheme is 4.12% not 2.06%.
