Pls tell me whether service tax paid for construction of commercial property can be taken as input service and carried forward for taking set off against rental income

Although CBEC has clarified that this credit is not admissible, you can claim the credit and there is good case for fight. But from 01-04-2011 same is inadmissible by virtue of the amendment.
