SERVICE TAX ON PROFIT

09 January 2011 Hi,
I am kishore & am an enterpruner in international business, wanted to ask if service tax will be applicable on profit margin. i.e. if my buying rate is usd 500 & i am quoting usd 550 to client on the diff of usd 50 is service tax applicable.

Pls. advise.

09 January 2011 Service tax is applicable on services only not on profits, so based on service nature only service tax applicability will be decide

09 January 2011 if you are in international business you may want to check if service tax is applicable as service may not be deemed to be rendered in india
