01 August 2013 Dear sir, please advise me on my confusion on service tax laibility on local cartrage from our godown to transporter office for sending goods to our customer by Transport
in this case are we liable to pay service tax on local cartrage paid to lauri wala or rikhshawala

01 August 2013 Local cartage paid to riksha will not be attracting service tax. But the lorry freight includes cartage paid to transporter, it will attract.
