Service tax on hotel accomodation

Sir,
I would like to know what percent of service tax will be charged on hotel accomodation. Suppose hotel bill is Rs.5000 then 6.18% service tax chargeable or any other rate of service tax. If any abatement is there please let me know in details.

Dear Sohail,
As per Notification No.26/2012-ST dated 20-06-2012 the rate of abatement is 40% and tax is payable on 60% of Value so the effective rate is 7.41%, provided the CENVAT credit on inputs and capital goods, used for providing the taxable service, has not been taken under the provisions of the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004.
