In our purchase invoice freight is included in transaction value for purpose of VAT.
Now who is liable to pay service tax on such freight. Buyer or seller.
for your reference freight is paid by seller.

The Service Tax on GTA Service is payable if the service has been provided by the GTA by Road by issuing a consignment note by whatever name called.
To Whom consignment note is issued by GTA ???
If it is issued to your Seller then he will be liable because you are not liable to pay the freight to GTA.
