19 April 2013 Hi, can anybody help to know about the service tax applicability of elder care service

20 April 2013 In my opinion it should be a taxable service. Exemption is given for health care services by clinical stablishment, doctors and para-medics. Paramedics includes nurses etc. But exemption is for care from any illness, injury etc. in any recognised system of medicines in India.

So just taking care of elders is taxable service.
