05 July 2012 One private hosiptal is taking services of doctors as consultant. Doctors visit hosipital and charge their fees from the hospital as visiting consultant doctors. Whether such service tax is taxabale or exempt. please also mention the relevant notification.

05 July 2012 Under Not 25/2012- Mega Notification sl no. 2 not liable.
However doctors who get commission from the diagnostic centres or from hospitals for referring a patient for test/ surgery/ second opinion etc would be liable on the commission recived.
Doctors who get commission for usage of stents in angioplasty wouldbeliable on that commission also.
