10 May 2016 How can i know my Service Tax Number Active or not and jurisdiction like PAN ???

for example: Service Tax No: ST/2103/33/2000,

how to find service tax number whom belongs to and other details for above service tax number

10 May 2016 Login to www.aces.gov.in , >in highlights press know status of assasee >type service tax code than enter , you will get full details such as services tax range, area code, Premises code, present status of registration.
Service tax is based on PAN of the assasee. But the format mentioned is not PAN format not able to verify.

10 May 2016 The STC No ST / 2103 / 33 / 2000 is a non PAN based registration. Vide Circular No. 35/3/2001-CX4, dt. 27/08/2001, it was clarified that all ST - 2 holders having non-PAN based STC should immediately apply fr PAN based STC within a tim frame. The CBEC site ACES.gov.in does not recognize non PAN based STC Code and hence the assessee can neither pay the duty due nor file ST - 3 Returns, both of which are now online.

To verify the details of STC No: in the ACES homepage click e-payment, fill the STC No and Captcha Code the details will be flashed including whether the STC No. is active or not. There is no site like in PAN for verification of details.
