01 January 2014 Dear Experts.,

I am a welding labour works concern proprietor.my yearly turnover is Rs.17,45,000.00 and then I am received house rental income yearly Rs.98,500.00.
My doubt is I am pay to service tax ? ? how ?

01 January 2014 Yes Service Tax is applicable on labour charges.In the first year of commencement initial exemption of Rs.10 Lakhs is permissible for Small Scale service Providers. Service Tax is leviable @ 12.36%. You need to file half yearly returns as per the provisions of service tax act 1994.
