28 May 2013 Good afternoon experts,

1. If a partnership firm pay freight inward Rs.2000/- in a single entry & similarly paid Rs. 82000/- in the whole f.y. 2012-13. whether it is necessary to take registration of Service Tax. (Total sales = 1.2 Crore)

2. Same condition for individual having tax audit & with out tax audit.

Please advise.

28 May 2013 as per law you are service receipent .

liability on freight paid by you or

paid by transporter

it is no diff. what your sales and what is your status ( induv & partnership)

if transported not paid when you have to pay service tax on freight
