Service tax applicability

i have provided the services to the foriengn company in india as installing there machines which manufactures & import from outside.& i get the payment from other country in foreign currency, therefore in this case do i need to pay service tax ?????

It appears that in above case you have provided erection, commissioning or installation services in India in respect of P&E imported into India. Means you have not performed any services outside India. As per export of service rules, if the above services are performed outside India either partly or fully then it shall be considered as export of services. But in your case it appears that you have provided services in India only. Therefore, you have to deposit service tax irrespective of the fact that you have received payment in foreign currency.

In above condition we will not considered the service tax applicable limit of Rs. 10 Lakh.
