Hi, What is the limit for individual and firm for service tax?

No separate limits. Threshold limit for all is Rs.10 lakhs.

for payments- 10 lacs

An Individual who doing Translation work [e.g. English to Hindi] in India, taking this form abroad and his total gross receipt exceeds Rs. 12 lacs p.a. Is he liable to pay service tax and if yes how he charge from his client. Plz suggest.
