01 November 2010 Dear Experts,

We pay service tax only after we get the payment in full and final for any particular invoice. Now kindly guide me if we get the payment cheque in october 2010, but have not got it deposited into our bank as yet, Should/Can we pay the service tax for this particular invoice?

The service tax payable only when the amount is realised in your account

unless with out realising the amount need not to pay the service tax.

if it is realised particular invoice you can pay the ST before the due date.
