13 August 2010 Is Service tax is applicable to a person who is into the business of repairing medical equipments and machines?

Secondly,is this possible that we can apply for service tax number online or we need to physcially submit appliciation like Form-ST-1?

13 August 2010 Registration process has to be done online. Website is www.aces.gov.in. Form, as you said, is ST-1. After on line filing, hardcopy of ST-1 along with the required enclosures has to be physically filed before the jurisdictional service tax Superintendent.
