02 September 2014 Dear sir,
I have a query about works contact service. If i provide works contact service of Rs 50000/- than how much I have to collect service tax from the service receiver ? and how much i have to pay in my pocket.

02 September 2014 If you the service provider is a Individual,HUF or AOP or Partnership firm whether registered or not and the Service receiver is a Body corporate then 50% service tax shall be paid by you and remaining 50% by receiver.

Shall we collect his portion of service tax in my bill or him self he pay the tax

02 September 2014 For the 50% portion required to be paid by service receiver directly to government,you may not show the same in your bill.Just inform him verbally.

For your 50% you may charge the same in yourbill.
