26 February 2009 IF NOTIFICATION NO 8/2009 IS APPLICABLE FROM 24-02-2009 THAN WHAT WILL BE THE CONSEQUENCES IF SERVICES PROVEDED FROM 01-02-2008 TO 23-02-2008 WHETHER IT WILL CHARGED BY 12% OR THAT WILL ALSO CHARGED BY 10%. (IGNORE THE ED CESS AND HSED CESS)

27 February 2009 1. The reduced rate is applicable only for the services which are rendered w.e.f 24th February 2009 and not for services which have been provided prior to said date.

2. It is advised that the bill for the services rendered upto 23rd February 2009 should be raised as on 24th February, 2009 by applying the old rate of 12.36 %.
