16 September 2012 Sir,
Rightly, In the first year my turnover is Rs. 10,76,686/-for A.Y. 2011-2012 and we have not charged service tax from Service receiver and not load service tax in invoice issued can we avail exemption limit of 10 L up to turnover of Rs. 10 lacs for first year.

16 September 2012 In your case you need to apply for service tax number within 30 days from the date when your turnover reached 9 lac if not applied or taken earlier.

As far exemption is concerned you can avail benefit of SSI exemption and need not to pay service upto rs. 10 lac.

However from next year you have to pay tax on entire amount.
