25 August 2012 dear sir,
i received a message from state bank of india stating (Dear Rajesh, We have received your Advanced Rental Cheque from Maharashtra tower of INR Rs. 10 Lacs. Please pay your 2.25% (22.500) Service Tax for clearing.) please help me to identify whether it is a fake msz or genuine.....
They are demanding the service tax amt. To be paid in a given a/c no.

25 August 2012 You just visit the branch from where the message has been forwarded to get confirmed.

as far i am concerned it must be fake only!

26 August 2012 It is a fake message. Bank is not giving such message and they are not concerned to advise customer to pay service tax. You should lodge a complaint in cyber crime police station
