I would like to know if an Individual performing services of Commercial coaching and Training from India

but the Trainee will be rendering the services after training outside India and

the Consideration for the services rendered will also be receiving in FOreign currency

Will it be exempt from payment of service tax.

04 February 2008 WEF 1ST JULY 2003, SERVICE TAX HAS BEEN LEVIED ON COMMERCIAL TRAINING AND COACHING CENTRES VIDE NOTIFICATION NO 7 /2003 DT 20 TH JULY 2003 .
THIS NOTIFICATION CAN BE SEEN IN WEBSITE
www.service tax .gov.in
OR YOU MAY SEE THE SAME FROM GOOGLE SEARCH BAR.
I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NO EXEMPTION FOR SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE CONSIDERATION RECEIVED FROM ABROAD.
HOWEVER PL. CHECK THE NOTIFICATION AND ALSO DETAILS FROM THE WEBSITE FOR YOURSELF AND MAKE SURE.
