Semi finished goods weighment outside the factory premises

23 July 2011 We are sending some Semi finished goods to job worker and after process willbe return to factory. for sending we need to make weighment, that facility is not available inside the factory premises and send out outside for weighment. Give clear proceedures and rule for excise. If any one give the format of application and which records should be maintained at factory levels...... Expert advice please

05 August 2011 Specific permission needed from DC for such acts, where they will supervise the situation in physical and prescribe separate set of records to be maintained by yourself towards movement of goods from factory to weighscale, thereafter recording the same in challans.

any movement without proper permission and records would quality unaccounted clearance.

07 August 2011 These type of permissions are not covered under rules and its sole discretion of DC/AC to grant of refuse,

if the materials are sent to weigh scale then after weighment are these returned to parent factory for making challans? if yes, then use a challan for movement upto weighscale and and return after weighment, theareafter 2nd challan for movement of goods from parent factory to job worker.
