I am taking coaching of SFM subject for CA Final from CA Rajiv Sir. But i am not able to build confidence in this subject may be because it's new in Final & was not there in CA PCC. SO please tell me which book should i prefer in addition to my classes for concept clarity as well as Question practice ? Is this right approach to follow other book. Or i should refer only class notes & Rajiv Sir's buk only.

03 January 2011 The major mistake committed by most of the
students is that they think the Coaching would help them a lot to cover the whole syllabus.

The best way to utilize the coaching facilities is to read the topic in advance which is likely to be covered next day.

Mark some points which were not easily understood while reading at your own.

If some doubts are there; mark them and ask them in the class itself.

( In my opinion; due to experience of the faculty he himself will emphasis on those points which are the most important).

If you are not completing your daily studies according to the topic covered by the Coaching Class; you will always feel trouble especially in the subject like MAFA.

Since you are undergoing coaching; better refer your class notes first and discuss it with your friends also.

One more point; in practical subjects; if you miss first chapters to understand them properly; the whole subject will unnecessarily harass you and it will create a misconception in your mind that the subject is the toughest one.

I will try whatever you said. But the Sir's book contains questions in large number & theory in small portion only. So, i may not be able to understand the concepts from there.

04 January 2011 For theory; refer ICAI's module and have a book of A N Shridhar.
