Section 44ae recent amendment

This query is : Resolved

01 June 2019 In view of the recent amendment in section 44AE, which weight should be taken to calculate presumptive income of a heavy goods vehicle, G.V.weight or U.L. weight or R.L.weight ?

01 June 2019 "As the case may be"...... are the important words in this section.
Normally unladen weight is considered. Ok? This is the thumb rule. (No any question of RL...ok?)
Now think of those vehicles, prepared/converted for specific purpose e.g. transport of petrol, gas, water etc. OR say transporting of cars like hyundai, maruti etc....ok?.... for such cases Gross vehicle weight is taken.
Now tell me if you any further doubts?
