I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHEN A DIRECTOR SEND THE DECLARATION U/S 299 TO A COMPANY, THEN CAN HE ASKED FOR ANY CERTIFICATE FROM THAT COMPANY THAT COMPANY IS NOT IN DEFAULT.

General Notice given by the director under section 299 in Form No. 22AA expires at the end of financial year. It can be renewed by giving a fresh notice in the last month of the financial year in which the notice expires. The notice is effective only if it is brought to notice of the Board and read in the first meeting after such notice is given.
Director will give declaration u/s 299 before the end of March 31 every year.
The director may not demand any documents from the company.
