1) A NOTICE U/S 148 HAS BEEN PASTED ON 31-03-2015 IN THE DOOR OF MY CLIENT AT 7 P.M. BY IT DEPARTMENT WITHOUT TRYING TO SERVE THE NOTICE BY POST, IS THIS A CORRECT PROCEDURE TO SERVE NOTICE. AS FAR AS MY KNOWLEDGE FIRST APPROACH SHOULD BE MADE BY INDIAN POST OFFICE IF MY CLIENT REFUSE TO TAKE THE NOTICE THEN IT DEPARTMENT WILL TAKE THE SECOND STEP OF PASTING. UNDER THIS IS THE NOTICE IS LEGAL OR ILLEGAL.
2) BEFORE SERVING NOTICE U/S 148 THE AO NEED TO RECORD THE REASON OF DOING SO AND HAVE TO TAKE PERMISSION FROM HIGHER AUTHORITY. CAN A COPY OF HIS RECORD OF DOING SO CAN BE CLAIMED BY THE CLIENT AND FURTHER CAN A COPY OF PERMISSION OF HIGHER AUTHORITY APPROVAL COULD BE DEMANDED THAT WHETHER IT IS GENUINE OR NOT.
