This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
If you have a joint savings account, only the first account holder can declare the interest income on their Income Tax Return (ITR). However, if the first holder doesn't declare it and can prove the funds belong to the second holder, then the second holder may be able to claim it. It's a complex situation, so seeking advice is recommended.
