Sales invoice or debit not ???

Dear Sir,
We have purchased Crates/Bins from our Delhi supplier. but in those 500 crate we have received 22 nos. rejected (Crack).
Supplier has agreed for collection those bins on not returnable basis.
I want to resend those bins to supplier....but i have confused. Can i raised Dr. Note OR Sales Invoice ?
Please suggest me.....
Its very urgent.
Pls. Reply.

You can either issue a debit note & get it duly accepted by the supplier OR.
You can get a credit note issued by the Supplier towards the defective pcs,
Both have same effect.
Sales invoice can not be issued
