I would like to know the applicability of excise duty on sale of old domestic machinery? which notification ?
Second thing is We are Making a Machine in house there is no excisable goods use in it. Now we want to sale it
Please tell me the notification and Rule as early as possible.

sale of old capital goods, on which cenvat credit is not availed does not attract excise duty.
manufacture of machine with our without excisable goods is excisable activity, and you have to pay duty on it, SSI exemption upto 150 lacs is available in your hands, clubbed with other exisable activity done by you. ( not 8/2003)
